If you do not recharge your Norway SIM card account within 12 months of initial use, your Norway SIM card and international phone number will be recycled and any remaining airtime credit will be forfeited. Every time you add additional airtime to your Norway SIM card the validity of your Norway SIM chip will be extended for another 12 months.
Your Norway mobile phone number is displayed on the printed packaging that contains your Norway SIM card. Your Norway phone number begins with 932. Next to your Norway SIM phone number will also be your PIN and PUK numbers.
To start using your service simply:
- Travel to Norway
- Set your cell phone to the GSM 900/1800 frequency
- Be sure the battery on your international cell phone is charged
- Insert the Norway SIM chip into the cellular phone*
- Turn on your phone
- Enter the PIN code*
- Start calling
* Your Norway SIM card requires a 4-digit PIN code which can be found under the black tab located under the Norway SIM card. The PUK is only required to unblock you phone if you enter in a PIN code incorrectly. Follow your cell phone manual instructions to correctly use the PUK to unblock your phone.
Customer service for your Norway Startpakke prepaid SIM card is available by dialing 05050 at any time from your Norway cellular phone.
When calling overseas from the United States to your Norway cellular phone number, callers will need to dial 011 followed by the country code (47) and then your Norway cell phone number 932... To call abroad from your Norway cell phone simply dial 00 (or '+') followed by the country code and phone number.
Your Norway SIM card includes an initial airtime credit of US $22 (kr 150), which you may load once you arrive in Norway. Additional credit is available through the purchase of airtime vouchers, also called reload cards (not another Norway SIM card). These Norway airtime vouchers are available in the following denominations:
- 150 kr ($22)
- 250 kr ($36)
- 500 kr ($72) Note: You will receive an additional 50 kr ($12) in airtime when you purchase this reload denomination.
Once you have purchased your Norway reload voucher, simply scratch off the gray protective layer to reveal your 13 digit voucher number. Dial 1999 followed by the 13 digit voucher code and and the * key. Confirm by punching the number 1 on your phone. The reload on your Norway SIM chip is now complete. When punched into the keypad of your international cell phone, the voucher code will credit your Norway SIM card with the respective denomination that you purchased.
To check the balance of your Norway SIM card, simply dial *100# and press [SEND]. Your balance will apear in the display on your GSM world cell phone.
Airtime vouchers are available while you travel in Norway at local Tabac shops, convenience stores and authorized Startpakke dealers.
